Who am I?
My name is Sara Dyson. I was born and raised in Texas. Since leaving Texas in 2006, I’ve lived all over the world and now reside permanently in Split, Croatia.
I still travel when I can. My last trip was to Rome. My next trip is to Vietnam. I gorge on books, fiction and non-fiction, all kinds of genres. I love photography evidenced by my undergrad in Photojournalism. I adore cooking, all kinds of things, but my specialty is puff pastry. Working with dough is my happy place.
What is my experience?
I have held many roles in my life: Administrative Assistant, Office Manager, Controller, Project Manager, Pastry Chef. Every one of them has molded me into the well-rounded web development professional I am today.
From 2006 to 2011, I was a user experience project manager for multi-national clients such as Deloitte & Touche, H&R Block, Bank of America, Citibank and Yokohama. Our projects were specific and targeted to improve existing portions of their web presences in addition to the creation of campaign-focused sites, all with user experience in mind.
In 2011, I went rogue.
I decided to start freelancing as a web developer. Considering my prior experience, I wanted to bring the same level of service and expertise usually reserved for my former Fortune 500 clients to small businesses.
Since, I’ve built more than 60 web sites for small businesses in a variety of industries including law, accounting, food, entertainment, home inspection, tourism, retail, service, architecture, blogging, finance, art, fitness and finance.
What do I do?
I develop for WordPress exclusively. It is the most user-friendly and largest content management system in the world. It is my CMS of choice for several reasons:
- Its flexibility. There is nothing that can’t be done.
- It’s updated, supported and bug tested endlessly and regularly.
- Most importantly, it is very easy for my clients to update their own content and images without any technical knowledge.
What can I do for you?
All roads lead to your web site. It is the keystone to any marketing strategy. If the web site is weak, it will impact all marketing goals.
When building a web site, it is import to look at the entire picture. What are your goals? What do you want your customers do or find on your web site? What is your social presence? What is your business process and can it be improved by leveraging new tools on your web site?
From the beginning, I’ll assess your needs, diagnose the situation, write a detailed prescription and implement a personalized plan to craft a web site that will achieve your specific goals whether encouraging your customers to make a purchase, sign up for a subscription or engage with your content.
I’m not just a developer. I’m a user experience and marketing professional that looks at every angle.
